In this course the student will familiarize with basic models used to describe condensed matter systems.
The formalism used is that of second quantization and some of the key objectives of the course are:

• Some of the most common canonical transformations
• Concept of quasi-particle
• Concept of self-energy
• Basics of the Many-body perturbation theory and Feynman diagrams
